Born on May 27. 1953, and raised in Southern California, Bridget earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from UCLA in 1975, and her Assoc. of Arts degree in 1973 from El Camino Jr. College, in Torrance, Calif. Bridget obtained further art studies at the Art Center College of Design (at both campuses in L.A. and Pasadena), and she later studied privately with Theodore N. Lukits, highly revered portrait and genre painter in the early 1980's, while employed as an artist/muralist in the interior design field. She has also studied in workshops under Steve Huston, Tim Solliday, and Steve Mirich, all CAC revered members. After a brief stint as an art director at Leo Burnett AD Agency in Chicago, Bridget returned to her first love - painting - for the entertainment industry. After joining the union in 1983 to work theatre, film, TV, commercials, and music videos, she continues to delve in a variety of projects. Having worked at most of the major studios, she has painted for ABC, NBC, CBS, KCET, KTTV, KTLA, KCAL, KCBS, FOX, Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros., Sony, Walt Disney, Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles Opera, and many others. She has been sent to Osaka, Japan by Universal to work on their newer theme park that opened in 2001. She has traveled to work on location to Korea, Japan, and many locales throughout the U.S. She runs a lucrative custom art business with paintings themed to fit special environments in restaurants, hotels, zoos, hospitals, police facilities, fire stations, theme parks, casinos, and private residences and businesses. Commissions in recent years have included major murals for several Las Vegas casinos, custom art for Marriott Hotels, themed rooms for L.A. Zoo, and major attractions for Six Flags theme park in California: Goliath, Riddler, Superman, Bugs Bunny World, Hurricane Harbor, and the Batman Stunt Show. In addition to local artwork, custom projects for hospitality, commercial buildings, and interiors, Bridget has designed and painted numerous murals for sites in public areas for design firms all accross the U.S., and has 19 murals currently in Japan, and other countries. Special Distinction was given in 1992 when Bridget was honored by former classmate, and now distinguished General promoted from an astronaut, Colonel Kevin Chilton, to paint a banner for NASA's newest shuttle and the maiden voyage of "Endeavor." The painting was carried in the payload during the mission and after "de-contamination" was flown to St. Bernard High School where it was presented and is permanently displayed. In 2008 Bridget was commissioned by Jeff Morseburg of Morseburg Galleries to create two reproduction murals, both sizes; 6' high by 16' long to honor the then President George Bush Sr. for an important Republican Primary fundraiser at the Elliot Broidy Home. With a partner, she re-created: "Washington Crossing the Delaware" by Emmanuel Leutze, and "March to Valley Forge" by Wm. B. Trego. With her ties and reputation linked to the entertainment industry for over 30 years in the Art Director's Guild and Scenic Title, and Graphic Artists Union, her work has appeared on major TV,Film,and Theater sets. She has been commissioned to create specific art and has sold murals, paintings, and special artwork on props and scenery for innumerable shows throughout the years. She recently finished 6 murals this year for NBC's new comedy/pilot "Parks & Recreation" starring Amy Poehler.Her artwork has been seen and used for the shows: "The Unit", "Heroes", the "Meant To Be's", "West Wing", "Medium", "Two and a Half Men2,"Brothers and Sisters", "Dirty Sexy Money", "CSI-Miami", "Cleaners", "Deal or No Deal", "American Idol", "Survivor", "Bonnie Hunt Show", "Dancing with the Stars", "Price is Right2, "Wheel of Fortune", L.A.Opera scenery and backdrops, and many others during her illustrious career. Bridget has worked on many first rate Broadway shows such as: "Phantom of the Opera", Les Miserables", "Sunset Blvd.", "White Christmas" and several Disney stage shows at the main theme park in Anaheim. She has worked almost every major theatrical stage in Hollywood and Los Angeles during her career. Bridget is an artist member of California Art Club and she has also belonged to Pacific Palisades Art Club, the Torrance Art Guild, Pacific Art Guild, and currently Redondo Beach Art group. She is a noted Journeyman of Local 800 Art Directors and Scenic, Title, and Graphic Artists of IATSE of which she has served on the executive board for six years, and been a trustee for six more. Gallery Representation Bridget is represented at Tirage Gallery in Pasadena, at One West California Blvd. She is represented in Art Pic in North Hollywood, on Troost Ave where she rents her work for use on sets for T.V., film, commercials and Theatre.
